Jim RichardsonJim Richardson's Background Jim Richardson is a life-long resident of Washington Township, having grown up working in his family's local business. After attending Romeo Schools, he earned certification from General Motors Institute in business and finance. Richardson had a 42-year career in the automotive industry. Jim is deeply committed to, and is, an active member of the Grace United Methodist Church. He has a life-long involvement in community service. Richardson was a founding member of the Romeo Jaycees and dedicated 30-years of service as a member of the Lion's Club. Jim has also been a 15 year volunteer at St. Clement's Church for the MCREST Homeless Shelter Program. Why Am I Running for Trustee of Washington Township?I believe government is about service, period! No special interests and no special agendas. I want to bring these values back to our township officials that have been elected to save our community! What I Plan to AchieveAs a Washington resident for over 55 years, I am very disappointed in the direction this administration has taken us. I intend to work hard to renew our ties with the Village of Romeo and Bruce Township. I am a bulldog when it comes to the bottom line and tough questions to ask the Board of Trustees. For the residents, I'll get to the bottom of any issue, so they will have all the facts, no matter what.
